mmm...sweet peas
This being Kate and Ryan's 1st Memorial Day, it only seemed fitting to spend the evening at a backyard barbecue. Mom and Dad had the kids and grandkids over for a cookout at their house on Monday evening. We sat out on the deck and since the sun was setting and the breeze picked up a bit, it was really nice. And of course the best thing about eating outside is that spilling is no big deal (which was good for my 19 month old niece, Naomi, who is still learning how to eat "cleanly"). Of course the babies aren't eating table food yet, but they did try their first jarred baby food on Monday afternoon. Kate tolerated the sweet peas, but Ryan really loved them. Matt had to cut him off before he downed the whole jar!
