We spent this past Saturday at Great Wold Lodge in Grapevine, Texas, and boy was it fun! We had planned this trip last summer, so it was really exciting to finally be going. Everyone we know that has been to Great Wolf speaks very highly of it, so we were ready to go see what the fuss was all about. The whole Mills clan had a great time (even mommy, who has been battling a yucky cold). The water park was so much fun especially hearing Ryan say "woo" every time the waves in the wave pool came crashing in and watching Kate float the lazy river waving at people all the way around. Cousin Cori enjoyed the giant bucket dumping tons of water on her head and the "big kids" took on the slightly terrifying tornado tube ride and lived to tell about it.
Story time in the lobby in our jammies was also very fun, even for a very tired little girl!
We finished up our weekend with lunch at the Rainforest Cafe. I was a bit worried that all of the noise and animated animals might scare the babies, but not to worry. Ryan found it thrilling and clapped every time there was a lightning "storm" in the jungle. The ride home was the icing on the cake as my two precious babies slept in their car seats clutching their stuffed wolves. All in all, it was a great trip. We are already wanting to go back!
