Let's go Cowgirls!!!

 My parents have OSU Cowgirl basketball season tickets this year, which means we got to take Ryan and Kate to a game a couple of weeks ago, when we were in Stillwater.  Matt was supposed to go with us, but he came down with a nasty bug, was sicker than a dog, and missed all of our weekend fun - poor guy!

 Fortunately, Grammy was able to go with us, and these 2 little Cowboy fans had a blast!  Ryan said the band and Pistol Pete were his favorites, and Katie said the cheer leaders and Pistol Pete were her favorites.  My favorite was when they put the kiss cam on the screen and I told Ryan what it was and he just leans in and gives me the biggest kiss - such a sweet boy! (even if we didn't make the screen)  They weren't quite sure why Bullet wasn't there or why Pete couldn't hear them on the court, but they LOVED it and didn't want to leave.  Ryan keeps asking when we can go back to another game and if Kevin Durrant is going to be there.

Cali trip

 My dear friend Bridget and her husband, Kavan, welcomed their sweet baby boy, Donovan, into their family a few weeks ago, and I had to get out to California and see him!!!  Matt was so kind to let me get away for a long weekend to see my former college roomates and awesome friends, Bridget and Beth (and the rest of the Luebbert clan too).

We crammed a TON of activities into a 2 day period (since I spent nearly 2 days traveling to and from California).  Saturday was spent shopping, seeing the baby, going to lunch at an Irish pub, and then going out to The Grove for dinner.  We even drug Bridget out with us for a few hours of cocktails, pizza, and girl talk sitting at an outdoor restaurant under the stars - SO much fun!!!



Sunday we went to church, family lunch at the Luebbert house, a trip to the beach (shoeless in January - my kind of weather!) more shopping, and dinner. 

Sunset at the beach with one of my best girls - what more could you ask for???  I had SO much fun, although I missed my babies, of course!  They had a great time at Nana's with daddy, but Kate told Nana when she saw the pics of the beach, "When I go there, I'm gonna bring my swim suit."  So I guess next trip out will have to be a family visit!
