We've had quite the Halloween experience here at the Mills house. Let's just say that we've got plenty of use out of our costumes this year! We started out by going to trick-or-treat downtown in Stillwater on Tuesday night. Kate and Ryan love going downtown and seeing all of the different costumes, playing games, and of course, getting lots of candy. Even though we've been gone from Stillwater for 2 Halloweens now, we have managed to make it back and I hope we can continue to do so. We met up with a beautiful mermaid and an adorable little lady bug (cousins Cori and Kenley) and had a blast!
On Thursday Ryan and Kate had a Halloween party at school. They got to wear their costumes and go trick-or-treat at the business offices at NEO. Parents were invited to come for snack time. They got SO much candy they're going to be eating on it for a month!
Thursday afternoon they picked some healthy snacks out of their goody bags (popcorn and goldfish crackers) and we watched "Curious George's Halloween Boo Fest"
Thursday night dinner was a special treat. We had mummy dogs (turkey hot dogs with crescent roll dough wrapped around them) specially marked Halloween Cheetos (k&r's favorite chips) and rice crispie treat pops with spider rings (a treat from school). I'm not sure who was more excited about the mummy dogs, the kids or Matt (that guy loves him some pigs in a blanket, so he was pretty pumped). We later went on to our church's block party to play games, eat snacks, and jump on inflatables (my phone was dead so no pics from that) We finished up the night going to our neighbors' houses to trick-or-treat (just our street because Matt and I were worn out!)
Lots of fun was had by all!
